The Jewish Music Group (JMG) is a Record Label and Music Distributor specializing in Jewish Music and Entertainment. Basically, JMG wants to bring Jewish music to the mainstream world. The label is owned and run by industry veterans Richard Foos (formerly Rhino, currently Shout Factory Entertainment) and David McLees (formerly Rhino Entertainment and Warner Music Group). JMG’s catalog boasts a wide variety of music, comedy and film that ranges from traditional yiddish to hip-hop, from klezmer to indie-folk, from old jewish humor to good old rock ‘n roll. Started in 2005, the company was recently “put on the map” when JMG artist “The Klezmatics” won a Grammy® for Best Contemporary World Music Album.
JMG is distributed in the U.S. by RED Distribution exclusively in the the non-Judaica market.
