 Sounds Write Productions, Inc. is proud to introduce Myrna Cohen, well loved children's performer and recording artist. Myrna's beautiful, rich voice, warm personality, and obvious love of children shine forth in her three solo recordings Swinging Chai, Lullabies & Quiet Time, and Special Days. As cassettes, the latter two are classics among the preschool set and are widely used as bedtime rituals, report numerous parents! Myrna is also the lead female vocalist on the popular Jewish Family Productions series for children, Celebrate With Us: Chanukah, Celebrate With Us: Shabbat, and Celebrate With Us: Passover. Myrna is a featured vocalist on the adult recordings produced by Sounds Write, Sounds of Creation: Genesis In Song, Sounds of Freedom: Exodus In Song, Sounds of Holiness: Leviticus In Song, Sounds of Sinai: Numbers In Song, and Sounds of Promise: Deuteronomy In Song.
Myrna is the much adored Cantorial Soloist at Temple Emanu-El in San Diego, California and is well known throughout the metropolitan area. She began as a songleader at Temple Emanu-El in 1975 before becoming their soloist, and also has worked for the San Diego Jewish Community Centers as Senior Adult Worker, Music Specialist, and Camp Jaycee Music Specialist, and the San Diego Jewish Academy as Music Specialist. Prior to Myrna lives in San Diego with her husband, Michael and their children Ryan, Laura, and Greg. |

that, Myrna worked at the St. Louis Jewish Community Center Camp Sabra, as a music specialist and unit head. Myrna received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Music from the University of Pittsburgh, and was employed as a counselor and youth advisor at the Irene Kaufman Center, as well as being a music specialist at the Beth Shalom Synagogue Sunday School.
